In the past several years we have used a variety of web programmers for portfolio companies and colleagues who need specialized web work. Some of these have been US developers, many have been outsourced to India. One thing we haven't had is good continuity between web developers. The main problem with contract web work is that developers typically call the shots. If work is not up to snuff or the project trajectory changes or they do not feel that they are being compensated enough, things do not work out as planned.
Essentially, we are looking for someone we can use every time we need work done. We are open to making a strategic investment if necessary. Foremost, we want to find a Web Designer/Developer/Programmer who has a passion for his or her work and has an entrepreneurial spirit. We are looking for someone US-based who is not already part of a team. We would like to help build a team around this individual.
